Payment
There are a variety of ways your insurance may pay. Some will issue multiple checks in line with the proposed mitigation or repair costs. How the payment is made can also vary in that some checks will be made to your name only, some to your contractor’s name only, and some to both you and your contractor. For larger losses, the mortgage company may also be listed on the check.
